Easter in the Marlborough Sounds! Good Friday to the Tuesday after Easter Monday will give us three full days of paddling in the Sounds, covering countless picturesque bays and beautiful waters.
Good Friday will be a full day's travel down, ferry trip across and we will stay that night in Picton. The next three days will be spent cruising the bays, camping at various sites. We will arrive back at Picton on Monday evening, stay that night in Picton and catch the Interislander back north the next day and travel back to Hamilton. You will need all camping gear and food for the journey. A gear list will be available to help you, and if desired a session can be held to bring people up to speed with camping out of a kayak. Indicative overall cost is about $330 to cover transport to Wellington and back (passengers and kayaks), Ferry transport both ways (passengers and kayaks), camp-sites, and accommodation in Picton. The cost can be confirmed once final numbers are known. To book onto the trip, please pay a deposit by 2 March of $140 so we can pay the Interislander costs.
