This is a great time of the year to visit the Abel Tasman Park. A very relaxing paddle schedule, giving us plenty of time to swim, fish, take a walk or just laze on the beach.
This is the planned itinerary for the trip
2nd - 6.25pm InterIslander sailing from Wgtn – Picton. Spend night in cabins at Top 10 Holiday Park in Picton.
3rd – Drive to Marehau. Start paddle and head out to Fishermans Island or go to Split Apple Rock, depending on the weather. Spend night at Observation Beach.
4th – Paddle to Mosquito Bay and spend night
5th – Paddle up to Tonga Island and onto Shag Harbour, before returning back to Mosquito Bay for the night.
6th – Paddle to Anchorage Bay for the night. We will also head up to Cleopatra's pool for a dip.
7th – Make our way back to Marehau and get off the water around 3ish then drive to Nelson and spend the night in cabins at Tahuna Beach holiday park.
8th – Drive to Picton to catch the 2.25pm InterIslander sailing from Picton – Wgtn. Arriving at 5.35pm.
Cost for the trip - TBA and depends on the number of people we have, it will be around the $490.00. Please pay $100 deposit when booking on this trip to confirm your place.
You need to be self sufficient for food and camping gear. Numbers will be limited so get in quick.
