Ever wanted to paddle rivers but were not sure of the risks, rules or dangers? Paddling rivers already but don’t know how to use a throw bag, rescue yourself or your mate?  Then this is the course for you!! We will be using the beautiful clear flat water section of the Waikato in Taupo for the kayaking with a rescue session down at Reid’s Farm Slalom course. Second day on Grade 1 & 2 on the Mohaka River. This course covers, paddle technique, river reading, hazard awareness, rescues and basic rope work. Accomodation on Saturday night available at Mountain Valley Suitable for all level of paddlers – this is not a white water course but will be held on Grade 1 and 2 rivers.
