Summer Fishing is Here........
We are as of this coming Wednesday night (25th January)kicking off our 2012 summer fishing trips. Alan, Chris and Andy will be running weekly trips from a Northshore beach. The plan is to meet at 18:00 at the beach and be on the water by 18:30, returning around two (2) hours later. We will be sending out a email each Monday confirming the weeks trip location, along with any other information about the trip(s) that may be required. If you would like to receive this email but have not yet passed us your email address, please call the shop and ask that you be placed on the "Fishing" email list. Have you completed a safety training course with us yet? We have developed a new Fisherman's Safety training module that will allow those of us whom just wish to fish and be part of our fishing events to take part in all the trips without having to complete the very comprehensive Basic Kayak Skills training course. The completion of this short but important safety training module will allow you to take part in all "Sit on Top" and "Sit on top" fishing trips, you will also receive a copy of the New Zealand Kayak Magazine every 4 to 6 weeks. The course will be run along side of our Wednesday night fishing events and take place at the beach the trip leaves from that night. The cost for the training (3 hours) by a qualified instructor and membership to C and K Northshore's Fishing group is just $99.00, a worth while investment in your ability to safely rescue yourself and to understand how to manage a trip safely whether alone or in a group.
