In short we are a bunch of sea kayakers who travel all over Auckland and beyond enjoying the amazing mix of ocean, river and lake paddling that NZ has to offer. We have a huge range of trips on the calandar throughout the year, click here to see what's coming up.
Membership is via our introductory sea kayak skills course, here you will learn the basics of safe sea kayaking both in a practical and theory form. It is a great weekend and our experienced instructors will tune any existing skills that you have. Click here for Our PDF Brochure

Club Night - For all Sea Kayakers. The first Wednesday of each month.
Fun and informative these meeting have gained a reputation! We want new ideas for trips so come along and make suggestions, our friendly team of leaders will help make your ideas happen. The Yakity Yak club offers a variety of trips throughout the year for paddlers who want a relaxing day out or a weekend away without any major expectations. Our team of trained leaders will ensure that you are looked after on the water and cared for off the water!!
We do encourage you to make sure you are carrying the essential items such as paddle float & pump, first aid kit, cell phone food and water.
Popular trips for beginners include: 
* East Coast Bays
* Okura Estuary & Dacre Cottage
* Inner Harbour - Greenhithe, Riverhead, Lucas Creek
* Wenderholm - Puhoi
* Hatfields - Wenderholm
* Rangitoto on a nice day!
Intermediate / Advanced Trips
The club has many intermediate and advanced trips which happen all through the year, popular trips have included:

* Circumnavigation of Rangitoto/Motutapu

Family Trips
Rob Howarth (owner operator of Canoe & Kayak North Shore) has 2 young boys who love to kayak! We regularly hold days at the beach or weekends camping where the emphasis is on fun for the whole family. Popular trips and activities have included: 
* Weekend at Sandspit Motor Camp
* Camping at Dacre Cottage - and exploring the Okura estuary
* Camping at Sullivans Bay or Te Muri Bay
* Days at the beach with kayaks and beach games and food!

Eskimo Rolling
Eskimo Rolling is great fun!
Come on down to a heated pool and let our expert instructors teach you how. We start in small polo kayaks which are easy to roll and we can progress to long boats as your skills improve. click here for more info
