Multisport - Auckland

Kayak Grade Two Certificate Training

Canoe & Kayak has trained many hundreds of people over the last 10 years to race in the Speight's Coast to Coast and other multisport events.

Many of these people have finished in the top ten of the one day race, as well as many other top place getters in the other divisions. The majority finish with a smile after achieving their own personal goal.

Whether you are planning to win the race or just finish it, the basic rules still apply -
  • running the mountain requires fitness
  • riding a bike requires fitness
  • kayaking requires skills and knowledge

Most people can safely walk or run over a mountain and most can safely ride a bike, but no one can safely paddle a Grade Two river without spending the time to learn and perfect the skills required.  Without the proper training and experience you will end up swimming and that is a very slow and potentially dangerous way to get down the river on race day.

Give us a call and be sure that you will be getting on and off the river on race day with a huge grin.

We award the comprehensive New Zealand Kayak Instructors Grade Two Certificate which is awarded by qualified instructors and proves beyond doubt that your skills and knowledge are up to the challenge of the Speights Coast to Coast. So you know you really are ready to race. Call us and get started the right way.
