Supper on the Summit - Auckland

Supper on the Summit (Rangitoto Island),  Saturday 10 March, with Russ and Larraine

Will be leaving from Narrow Neck Beach - meet at 5pm and on the water by 5.30pm
Heading across to McKenzie Bay, Rangitoto Island and walk up to the summit for dinner and watch the lights come on in the city.  We will head back to the boats and return to Takapuna as a night paddle.  There is an almost full moon that night and if the sky is clear this is glorious.

What to bring -
All usual safety gear including lights and flags, deck light and additional torch are compulsory - we will be crossing a busy shipping channel and we need to be highly visible.
Dinner and drinkies.
Change of clothes and shoes for the walk, including warm jacket as it can be cold at the summit.
Backpack to carry the above.

Suitable for confident beginners.  This is an open water crossing, approx 5km each way and can get bouncy, and it will be dark on the way back.

You need to be a current club member to join us.

Please note that Rangitoto is now pest free and we need to ensure that we don't transport rats, mice, ants, or weed seeds.  Please ensure your gear is clean and footwear free of soil and seeds.  For more information see here...
