Kayak Fishing Club
When you join the club the first year’s subscription includes our awesome fishing kayak skills course. This gives you confidence on the water and it gives the trip leaders’ confidence that all club paddlers have a sound understanding of paddle skills and safety.
The course is held over two sessions. The first session being on a Wednesday evening in the indoor pool. This session teaches confidence on your kayak, self rescue and assisted rescues. Then on the Saturday morning we will teach you about a typical fishing kayak and how to get the most out of it. We teach the many different paddle techniques you will need to know, safety on the water and we’ll rerun the rescues learnt in the pool session.
All equipment and food for the sessions are supplied. It’s an excellent way to meet like minded people, to trial all the kayaks and gain confidence.
Once this course is completed you have a membership. This entitles you to 50% discount on all hire boats and gear, 10% discount on purchases through store, 6 bi-monthly magazines a year, a weekly newsletter keeping you up with what’s going on in the club – trips, courses etc. We also have a once a month club get together where we plan future trips etc.

The first years fee is $149.00 and then subsequent years is only $55.00.
